How We Got Here
Appdore launched in 2014 as a mobile game development studio. For five years, we built games that entertained thousands of players and taught us everything we know about design, user experience, and building products people actually want to use.
By 2019, the mobile gaming landscape had shifted dramatically. Instead of chasing trends, we took the skills we had built and pointed them in new directions. The experimental mindset stayed. The mission evolved.
Today, Appdore is a multi-faceted creative studio based in Katy, Texas. We operate across three areas: digital marketing for local businesses, independent music production, and AI-powered tools.

Independent Music
Appdore Music is an independent project exploring different sounds through two distinct personas. Augustus Sun brings modern soul with timeless warmth, while Marley Lux delivers electro-soul and alt-R&B with a glitchy, afropunk edge.
Every song is written, produced, and performed by Cartez Augustus. The goal is music that values feeling over formula — each persona tells its own story while staying rooted in emotional clarity.
AI Tools
We build practical, accessible AI tools. Postida is our AI-powered social media content generator — it helps businesses and creators produce engaging posts without the guesswork.

Meet Cartez Augustus
Cartez Augustus is the founder and creative force behind Appdore. Based in Katy, Texas, he brings together technical know-how, creative vision, and a hands-on approach to everything the studio produces.
Cartez's path started with game development in 2014, where building everything from scratch — code, design, marketing, business operations — became the norm. That self-taught foundation carried over when he shifted into helping other businesses grow online, eventually building a full-service marketing operation serving local businesses across Texas and Louisiana.
Music has always been part of the picture. Rather than separate it from the business side, Cartez made it part of Appdore's identity. He writes, produces, and performs all Appdore Music tracks under the Augustus Sun and Marley Lux personas.
